Sanford opens new Veterans Club
Sanford Hospital unveiled an additional resource for veter-ans that visit their facility. The Veterans Club is a place where veterans can relax and share their military experiences.
The Veterans Club is located near the main lobby and will provide a lounge area with coffee and water, computer access, and television.
Sanford estimates that around 4,000 service members visit Sanford every month.
Veterans who work at Sanford also have "Veteran" on their ID badges to help ease anxiety and have those who served feel more comfortable.
Program Manager Heather Bullerman and Field Service Officer Michael Maske attended on behalf of the South Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs.
