Membership

Membership is free and open to qualified individuals. PVA's President invites you to join our more than 19,000 members today and have your voice, energy and efforts assist others living with SCI/D.

By joining the North Central Chapter PVA, you have the opportunity to have your voice, your energy and your efforts assist others. Upon joining you will begin to receive the chapter's monthly newsletter, as well as notifications of upcoming events and meetings. In addition, you will have the opportunity to participate in many programs, including volunteering and sporting events.

The regular general membership meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapter Office. The Chapter Board of Directors meets every other month to discuss the general business of the organization.

There are two categories for membership: Regular and Associate

Associate Membership is issued to any individual or business interested in the mission of NCPVA. There is no membership fee and membership includes a subscription to the North Central Chapter PVA Newsletter.

The North Central Chapter PVA has established a scholarship program to provide financial assistance for PVA members and their families so that they may achieve their goals in the academic arena. Applications are now available for 2011-2012. Please contact the Chapter Office for an application if you meet the guidelines listed in the Scholarship Guidelines download below. Applications must be postmarked by July 1st. There will be no exceptions.

The purpose of the PVA Educational Scholarship Program is to provide assistance to PVA members and members of their immediate family to meet their educational goals.

The 2011-2012 scholarships will be in the amount of $1,000 for full-time students and $500.00 for part-time students for an academic year. The scholarship awardees’ will be required to verify their status as a full-time or part-time student in an accredited college or university.

Eligibility: The scholarship program is open to all PVA members, their spouses and unmarried children under age twenty-four (24) and who are dependent (as defined by the IRS) on the member for principal support.

The Ford Motor Company Partner Recognition Program provides exclusive savings on eligible Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles to Partner employees, retirees (limited to two Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) per calendar year) and to members of the employee's household - that means any family member, friend, roommate, etc. who lives with the Partner employee can participate as long as their valid driver's license proves household status.

Ford Motor Company's success is largely the result of our special relationship with our Partner organizations. In appreciation, the X-Plan Partner Recognition Program offers PVA Members and employees the opportunity to purchase or lease Ford Motor Company vehicles at exclusive prices.

X-Plan Partner Program Benefits:

Exclusive Pricing. The Plan price is established before customers visit the dealership, so they don't have to negotiate.

Exceptionally Simple. The Plan price is clearly marked on the vehicle invoice. The customer will simply ask for a copy of the invoice to confirm special pricing.

Great Value. The Plan price is at or below dealer invoice price and is available in addition to most other publicly offered programs.

Follow these simple steps to X-Plan savings:

1. Visit www.fordpartner.com and enter your Partner Code - (Contact PVA Membership for access code @ 1-800-424-8200)

2. Select the "PINs" tab from the top navigation

3. Enter the last four digits of your Social Security (or Social Insurance) Number; and your name, address, city, state (or province) and ZIP (or postal) code to obtain your PIN

4. Print your PIN Certificate and bring it along when visit a participating dealer

5. Identify yourself as a X-Plan Partner Recognition participant, and provide the last four digits of your Social Security (or Social Insurance) Number and your PIN to confirm eligibility

6. Provide proof of employment or organization membership with a recent organization I.D. card, pay stub, W-2 (or T4) form or health care card

7 Select an X-Plan eligible vehicle and ask for a copy of the invoice to confirm X-Plan pricing
Complete the purchase or lease agreement and arrange for delivery

8. Sign the AXZD-Plans Pricing Agreement and Customer Cash Payment Authorization form
